DTC ECM-3000

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-3000 is stored if the control module does not register a signal from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor or counts too few flank changes during 5 crankshaft revolutions and/or 2 seconds has passed.

Substitute value
Uses the engine speed (RPM) sensor if it functions.

Possible source

Signal missing
- open-circuit in the signal cable
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- defective camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
