DTC ECM-340A

Condition







Engine control module (ECM) checks the information from the knock sensor (KS) during normal driving conditions. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-340A is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the signal from knock sensor (KS) deviates from the tolerance.

Substitute value
- Knock control is disabled
- ignition retarded for safety reasons

Too little roar:
- contact resistance in connectors
- defective knock sensor (KS)

Possible source

Too much roar:
- contact resistance in connectors
- defective knock sensor (KS)

Fault symptom[s]
- poor performance.
