Condition







During leak diagnostics, the relevant components are checked. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-4047 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the canister purge (CP) valve or EVAP canister shut-off valve.

Substitute value
- fuel trim disabled
- Canister purge (CP) valve disabled.

Possible source

EVAP canister shut-off valve leakage:
- defective hoses
- defective EVAP canister shut-off valve.

Canister purge (CP) valve leakage:
- defective hoses
- defective canister purge (CP) valve.

EVAP canister shut-off valve clogged:
- clogged hoses
- defective EVAP canister shut-off valve.
