DTC ECM-6000

Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECC-6000 is stored if the control module registers that the air conditioning (A/C) relay control signal cable has a short-circuit to ground, short-circuit to supply voltage or an open-circuit.

None.

Possible source

Signal too high:
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- defective air conditioning (A/C) relay.

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- open-circuit in signal cable
- defective air conditioning (A/C) relay.

Fault symptom[s]
- Air conditioning (A/C) compressor not running
- Air conditioning (A/C) compressor operates constantly.
