Condition

The engine control module (ECM) has detected an internal temperature of 98 degrees C and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-716D has been stored.

Substitute value
The engine coolant fan starts at low speed.

Possible source
- high output temperature
- blocked air intake to the control module box
- the car has been in a varnishing furnace.
