DTC ECM-9530

Condition







Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-9530 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the linear signal from the accelerator pedal (AP) position sensor.

Substitute value
- throttle closure when braking
- slow throttle opening to requested throttle opening.

Possible source
Internal fault in control module.

Signal too high:
- signal cable short-circuited to supply
- defective accelerator pedal (AP) position sensor.

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- defective accelerator pedal (AP) position sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- ETS warning lamp lit
- poor accelerator pedal (AP) response.
