Does not apply to engines with MSA15.7 and Fenix 5.2 engine management systems.
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) missing.
If the VIN code that the immobilizer control module transmits to the engine control module (ECM) do not correspond to VIN code that the engine control module (ECM) has learned, the engine will start but stop immediately.

Possible source
- A used immobilizer control module with a different VIN code to that the engine control module (ECM) has learned was installed in the car.
- A used engine control module (ECM) has been installed in the car without the VIN code being erased from the control module memory before the it was removed from the other car.

Fault symptom[s]
- Engine starts but stops immediately. (Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-720A is stored in the engine management system).
