DESCRIPTION:

The locking logic for MY03 S40 and V40 was intended to change. As a result of the expected change, the wiring diagram book and VADIS were updated to reflect the new logic. Prior to port release of the MY03 vehicles, a decision was taken to return the locking logic to MY02 status.





The port modification included cutting one of the legs for relay 2/51 (See Wiring Diagram for S40 / V40 2003 TP 3965202). The modified relay then acts like a jumper rather than a relay.

SERVICE:

No service is necessary.
If fault tracing the central locking system within the above specified chassis range, relay 2/51 should have been modified from the port. The modified relay will cause the MYO3 remote locking system to function the same as a MY02.

From chassis 955753 the wiring will revert to MYO2 status from production.
