Note! Always change O-rings when replacing accumulator/dryer.

Drain the refrigerant from the system, see Draining Draining

Dryer, removing




Remove the clamp that holds the battery.
Remove the cable between dryer and condenser as well as between dryer and evaporator.
Seal the openings.
Disconnect the pressure monitor's connector.
Remove the two attaching nuts from the support.
Remove the dryer and support.

Transfer the support to the new dryer
Mark the support's position on the old dryer.
Loosen the clamp's bolt and remove the support. Transfer the marking from the old dryer to the new one and install the support.
Push in the rubber between dryer and the support's clamp.
Tighten the support's clamp finger-tight.
Transfer the pressure monitor to the new accumulator/dryer.
Lube the O-rings with compressor oil.
Pressure monitor, tightening torque: 18 Nm.

Accumulator/dryer, installing




When replacing, accumulator/dryer must be filled with 20 cm3 oil.
Lube the new O-rings with compressor oil.
Install the dryer with the support and tighten the two nuts finger-tight.
Install the cables in position.
Tightening torque, cable from evaporator to dryer: 10 Nm.
Tightening torque, cable from condenser to dryer: 10 Nm.
Tighten down the dryer support, tightening torque: 10 Nm.
Place the dryer in correct position and tighten the support's clamp with 10 Nm.
Plug in the pressure monitor's connector.
Fill the system with refrigerant and check for leaks, see Filling with refrigerant Filling With Refrigerant
