DESCRIPTION:

XC90 SRS control units contain a program parameter for 5 seat and 7 seat vehicles. The spare part SRS control unit is defaulted to the 7 seat parameter.

If a 5 seat XC90 has a SRS control unit configuration of 7 seats, the SRS warning light will illuminate and DTC SRS-00DC will be set.

SERVICE:

If it is necessary to replace the SRS control unit in a 5 seat XC90 the parameter must be changed from 7 seat to 5 seat configuration. To change to 5 seat configuration, follow VADIS instructions under Vehicle Communication, Group 8, Airbag, Configuring the number of seats.
