Knock Sensor: Service and Repair






Knock sensor (KS)

Preparatory work

Removing components
Remove the air cleaner (ACL) module. See: Air filter module Service and Repair.

Removal

Removing the knock sensor (KS)





Remove:
- the screws for the knock sensor (KS)
- knock sensor (KS). Disconnect the knock sensor (KS) connector.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Tightening torque Tightening Torque

Installing knock sensors (KS)





Caution! The correct tightening torque is very important for achieving correct function of the knock sensors.

Install the knock sensors (KS). Turn the knock sensors (KS) to 8 o'clock. Tighten. See: Tightening torque Tightening Torque.
Connect the connector for the knock sensors (KS).

Finishing

Installing components
Install the air cleaner (ACL) module. See: Air filter module Service and Repair.
Start the engine. Check the function of the engine.
