THIS TNN SUPERCEDES AND REPLACES, THE PREVIOUS 28-76 TNN'S RELEASE 10/22/07. SOFTWARE IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALL VEHICLE'S IN THE HEADER.

Description:

The Vehicles referenced in the header above can experience false detection of misfires during cold start resulting in one or more of the above fault codes.

If after fault tracing the fault codes in Vida there are no remaining conditions that could cause a misfire to be detected download the latest ECM software according to the "SERVICE" Description below. The newer software raises the misfire detection limit to prevent false misfire detection.

This software is also included with the leakage detection software discussed in TNN 28-74. So if the leakage detection software is added to a vehicle it includes this misfire change and if this misfire software is added to a vehicle it includes the leakage diagnostic software.

SERVICE:
Upgrade the Engine Management Software using the ECM upgrade option in VIDA.
