Window lift mechanism front side door, replacing

Replacing the power window mechanism
Open the window half way.
Remove the side panel and run-off profile. See Replacing the front door side panel Front Door Side Panel.
Detach the retaining clips for the window and lift mechanism.
Press the window to the uppermost position. Secure it with tape.

Note! The mechanism is correctly positioned for removal when the holes in the mechanism and in the arm are opposite each other.





Note! See Removing Rivet.

- Remove the four mounting elements
- Remove the blind rivet.
- (Screws or blind rivets)
- Lift out the lift mechanism
- Disconnect the connector.

Installation

Install:
In reverse order.





Note! Install new rivets in the numerical order illustrated.

Initializing the window position
The window position must be initialized after installation.
Ignition on.
Initialize. See Checking the power window mechanism Checking the Power Window Mechanism.
