Negative lead, battery, replacing

Removal

Ground cable




- Remove the floor hatch, bracket and the protective cover over the battery. See Battery, replacing Battery, Replacing
- Remove the connector from the negative terminal.

Caution! When removing and installing the battery leads. See Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting

- Remove the screw securing the ground cable in the rear crossmember.

Installation

In reverse order. For the tightening torques, see below.

Note! Clean the underneath of the cable terminal. This is to ensure good contact with the mounting for the rear member.

- The screw for the mounting for the rear member: 25 Nm
- Connectors on the battery poles: 2.5 Nm.
