Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair











Window lift mechanism, rear side door, replacing

Removing the lift mechanism assembly




Open the window half way.
Remove the door panel. See Panel, rear side door, replacing Panel, Rear Side Door, Replacing.
Remove the anti-drip protection. See Run-off profile and bracket Run-Off Profile And Bracket.
First remove the clips for the window and lift mechanism.
Remove the blind rivet. See Removing rivet .
Press the window to the uppermost position. Secure it with tape.

Remove:
- the bracket by drilling out the two blind rivets. See Removing rivet
- two blind rivets
- the nut.
Angle out the lift mechanism assembly through the opening in the door.





Installing the lift mechanism assembly

Install:
In reverse order.

Note! Always use new blind rivets, P/N 982565.
