Mass air flow (MAF) sensor, replacing

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor





Remove:
- the inlet hose from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the connector from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor
- the screws securing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor to the air cleaner (ACL) cover.
Pull and work the mass air flow (MAF) sensor loose from the air cleaner (ACL) cover.

Installing the mass air flow (MAF) sensor





Note! Apply water to the O-ring in the air cleaner (ACL) cover to facilitate installation of the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Install the new mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
Press the mass air flow (MAF) sensor into place.
Install the screws. Tighten.
Install the inlet hose on the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. Tighten the hose clamp.
Press the connector for the mass air flow (MAF) sensor into place.
