SUBJECT: ECM DTC 7300 Gear Position Sensor, Faulty Signal
REFERENCE: VIDA Fault Tracing

DESCRIPTION:
If a driver moves the gearshift lever from "D" to "P" while the vehicle is still moving above 3km/h (1.8mph), DTC ECM 7300 will be set for Gear position Sensor, Faulty signal. After the high chassis limits above, the threshold for the DTC is changed to 15km/h (9.3mph).

SERVICE:
Downloading the ECM upgrade Software part # 30677021 to a vehicle within the chassis range above will raise the DTC threshold to 15 km/h (9.3mph).
