Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Caution! If the same contact reel/steering wheel module (SWM) is reinstalled, the contact reel/steering wheel module (SWM) does not need to be reset and programmed with new software. This only applies on the condition that the contract reel is fused while the work is being carried out.

Make sure that the contact reel is fused. Refer to: Steering wheel Service and Repair.

Caution! Make sure that the front wheels and steering wheel module (SWM) are centered straight ahead and are in the same position when installing as when removed.

Remove the following items:
- battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnecting
- the steering wheel. Refer to: Steering wheel Service and Repair
- the steering column covers. Refer to: Panel steering column Service and Repair
- left-hand control stalk. Refer to: Control stalk, left Service and Repair
- right-hand control stalk. Refer to: Control stalk, right Service and Repair.




Torque: Steering wheel control module to steering column, 0.9 Nm
