DESCRIPTION:
An error in the VIDA tool "Quick test of the fuel tank system" makes it impossible to run this test on the following vehicles.





*AFFECTED VEHICLES:

TEMPORARY SOLUTION:

Read out VIN, switch off the VIN decoding (START/PERFORM COMPUTER SETTINGS/VIN SETTINGS) Note! Confirm by selecting CONTINUE from the pop up box. Manually specify the vehicle to V70 (08-), 2009, B6304T2, TF-80SC AWD. Press OK button and then go to DIAGNOSTICS/VEHICLE COMMUNICATION/ECM/Advanced.

Note! Do not use the update tab at this point, it will result in turning the VIN decoder back on.

Perform the 'Quick test of the fuel tank system' as if the car was a B6304T2. Test will work fine, results will be reliable.

Note! The rest of the fault tracing should be performed with VIN decoding set to ON.

FINAL SOLUTION:

Electronic Update 2008DU2 and VIDA 2009A will include a new correct version of the tool.
