Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair






Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, replacing

Removal

Removal of pressure sensor inlet air





Remove:
- the connector from the sensor
- the 2 screws
- the sensor by pulling it straight up.
(In the illustration, the upper engine cover and torque arm are removed to better depict the location of the sensor.)

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.

Installation of pressure sensor inlet air

Install:
- a new sensor
- the 2 screws; tighten
- the connector to the sensor.

Check
Start the engine and check the function.
