Preparatory work


Remove:
- the wheel
- the spring.

Removal

Removing the upper control arm




Remove the screw for the wheel spindle.





Remove:
- the screw x1 for the sub-frame
- the control arm.





Caution! Use a transmission jack to prevent damage to the screws.

Installation

Installing control arm

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.

Install:
- the control arm
- the screw x1 for the sub-frame. Do not tighten yet
- the screw x1 for the wheel spindle. Do not tighten yet.

Note! The rear suspension must be in the normal position when tightening all the joints in the rear suspension where rubber bushings are involved. See: Normal position Service and Repair.

Tighten the screws. For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.

Note! Use a transmission jack to prevent damage to the screws.

Finishing


Install:
- the spring.
For FWD, see: Spring Spring, Rear Spring, AW55-50/51SN Spring, Rear.
For AWD, see: Spring Spring, Rear Spring, AW55-50/51SN Spring, Rear
