Removal

Removing the valve cover
Remove the valve cover. See: Valve cover/gasket, replacing, B8444S Service and Repair.

Removing the variable valve timing solenoid





Remove:
- the 1 M6 screw
- the variable valve timing solenoid by pulling it straight up.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening torque, B8444S [1][2]Specifications.

Installing the variable valve timing solenoid

Install:
- the variable valve timing (VVT) solenoid
- the 1 M6 screw; tighten.

Installing the valve cover
Install the valve cover. See: Valve cover/gasket, replacing, B8444S Service and Repair.
