Symptom and function description
Windscreen cleaning is started by moving the stalk towards the steering wheel.
The wipers operate for as long as washing is activated.
The rear washer is operated by moving the right-hand control stalk on the steering column away from the steering wheel. The wipers operate for as long as washing is activated.
The windscreen must be properly wet when the wipers operate, therefore, generous amounts of washer fluid should be used when cleaning.

Verification

- Switch on the ignition and check that no message regarding low washer fluid appears in the combined instrument panel.
The capacity of the washer fluid reservoir is 4.5 liters and a message regarding low level appears when the volume in the reservoir is below 1 litre.
- Check that washing occurs on the windscreen when the right-hand control stalk is moved towards the steering wheel and that the windscreen wipers run for as long as washing is activated.
- Check that washing occurs on the rear windscreen when the right-hand control stalk is moved away from on the steering column and that the wipers run for as long as washing is activated.
