Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 2

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
2. If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 7.
3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (3) from the ignition coil assembly.




4. Remove the ignition coil assembly bolts.
5. Remove the ignition coil assembly.




6. Disconnect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
7. Remove the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.
8. Remove the ignition coil (2), as required.

Installation Procedure




1. If servicing the ignition coil assembly, perform the following steps, if servicing an individual ignition coil proceed to step 5.
2. Install the ignition coil assembly.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the ignition coil assembly bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (3) to the ignition coil assembly.




5. Install the ignition coil (2), as required.
6. Install the individual ignition coil bolt (1), as required.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

7. Connect the individual ignition coil electrical connector (3), as required.
8. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
