Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.




2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air hose from the resonator duct.
3. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (1) at the throttle body.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.



Installation Procedure





1. Locate the 4 air cleaner duct alignment studs.
2. Install the air cleaner assembly , use a GM approved non-silicone lubricant in order to help with installation of the outlet duct to the throttle body.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp (1) at the throttle body.

Tighten the clamp to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

4. Install the PCV fresh air hose to the resonator duct.




5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
