Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the primary negative battery cable.Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary)

2. Remove the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement.




3. Loosen the auxiliary battery negative post clamp nut (1).

4. Disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable (2) from the auxiliary battery.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the auxiliary battery positive cable (2) to the auxiliary battery and tighten the clamp nut to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

2. Install the rear compartment side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement Rear Compartment Side Trim Panel Replacement.

3. Connect the primary negative battery cable.Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary).
