C1 - Temperature Check

^ Operate engine at high RPM or under load for 20 minutes. Check temperature with a thermometer.

NOTE: Remove radiator cap before running this test.

WARNING: Use care when removing radiator cap to avoid injury from escaping steam or hot water. If engine overheats, shut down immediately and go to C3.

^ Does the coolant maintain a proper temperature?

YES -- Go to C2. C2 - Temperature Gauge

NO -- Temperature too low -- Go to Engine Fails to Reach Normal Temperature Diagnosis Guide. Engine Does Not Reach Normal Operating Temperature

NO -- Temperature too high -- Go to C3. C3 - Fan Belt
