B: Instrument Cluster Too Dim

B1 CHECK DIMMER VOLTAGE


^ Disconnect battery ground cable


^ Remove instrument cluster and disconnect Connectors A and B.


^ Connect battery ground cable and turn ignition switch lock cylinder to RUN.


^ Using Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or equivalent, measure dimmer voltage to ground (Connector B, Pin 13).


^ Is the voltage less than 3.0 V?


Yes

REPLACE instrument cluster.


No

SERVICE Circuit 19 and dimmer for short to battery or run circuits.
