E1 DTC C1198 Check Valve Coil, Ckt and ABS Control Module

- Ignition OFF.

- Install Rotunda(r) Breakout Box 014-00322 or equivalent. Using the Breakout Box For Circuit Checks

- Verify terminals at Pins 17 and 40 are clean and secure in the anti-lock brake control module harness connector.

- Measure resistance between Pins 17 and 40.

- Is reading between 5 and 8 ohms?

YES -- Go to E5. E5 Verify Integrity of Vehicle Wiring

NO -- Go to E2. E2 Check Valve Coil
