B: One Door Lock Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST B: ONE DOOR LOCK INOPERATIVE

B1 - CHECK OPERATION OF SUSPECT DOOR LOCK

Manually operate inoperative door lock.

Check for binding or stuck condition.

Is battery voltage present?

YES SERVICE as required.

NO GO to B2.

B2 - CHECK SUSPECT DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR LOCK OPERATION

Gain access to suspect power door lock actuators outlined.

Disconnect power door lock actuator.

Using a voltmeter lead from Circuit 117 (PK/BK) at harness connector while actuating door lock switch is in the lock position.

Is voltage 10V or more?

YES GO to B3.

NO SERVICE Circuit 117 (PK/BK) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B3 - CHECK ACTUATOR FOR UNLOCK OPERATION

Remove voltmeter lead from Circuit 117 (PK/BK) and connect it to Circuit 118 (PK/O).

Actuate door lock switch in the unlock position.

Is voltage 10V or more?

YES REPLACE power door lock actuator. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

NO SERVICE Circuit 118 (PK/O) for open circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
