E: Door Locks Work With Engine Running Only
PINPOINT TEST E: DOOR LOCKS WORK WITH ENGINE RUNNING ONLYE1 - CHECK SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Remove all doors lock relay.
Using a voltmeter, check voltage at Pin 86 of all door lock relay.
Is voltage 10 volts or more?
YES GO to E2.
NO Refer to Starting and Charging for battery service. Service and Repair
E2 - CHECK LATCH/LINKAGE
Manually lock/unlock door.
Does latch operate easily?
YES GO to E3.
NO LUBRICATE mechanism and SERVICE as necessary.
E3 - CHECK DOOR LOCK SWITCH CONNECTORS AND RELAYS
Inspect switch and relay connectors for corrosion or damaged/loose connection.
Are connections OK?
YES LUBRICATE and SERVICE as necessary. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE as required. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
