Module Communication Network
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system in question.2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

^ Central junction box Fuse 17 (20 A)
^ Wiring harness
^ Loose or corroded connections
^ Anti-lock brake control module
^ Instrument cluster (message center optional)
^ RKE (DDM) (optional)
^ Left power sliding door module (optional)
^ Right power sliding door module (optional)
^ Restraint control module
^ Front electronic module
^ Rear electronic module
^ Powertrain control module
^ Next generation speed control servo (optional)
^ Parking aid module (optional)
3. If the concern remains after the inspection, connect New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester to the data link connector located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from NGS Tester menu. If NGS Tester does not communicate with the vehicle:
^ Check that the program card is properly installed.
^ Check that the correct version of the program card is installed.
^ Check the connections to the vehicle.
^ Check the ignition switch position.
If NGS Tester still does not communicate with the vehicle, GO to Pinpoint Test N. N: No Module/Network Communication-No Power to NGS
4. GO to Pinpoint Test PC. System Precheck
