Test G: DTC B1405, DTC B1408 or DTC B1410 - Driver Power Window Switch Circuit Short to Battery or Driver Power Window
PINPOINT TEST G: DTC B1405, DTC B1408 OR DTC B1410 - DRIVER POWER WINDOW SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORT TO BATTERY OR DRIVER POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT FAILUREG1-G2:
G3-G4:
Normal Operation
Under normal operation, when the driver window control switch is commanding the driver window DOWN, voltage is sent to the one-touch down (OTD) relay through circuit 991 (TN/LB). In the de-energized state, voltage is sent from the OTD relay to the driver window motor through circuit 903 (RD). Ground for the driver window motor is provided by the driver window control switch through circuit 992 (WH/BK). When UP is commanded, voltage and ground from the driver window control switch is reversed.
Possible Causes
- A short to voltage in circuit 991 (TN/LB) or 992 (WH/BK)
- A short to ground in circuit 903 (RD) or 992 (WH/BK)
- Smart junction box (SJB)
