Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the multi-function switch is grounded through circuit 57 (BK). Voltage is supplied to the run/park relay coil and switch through circuit 1671 (RD). When the SJB commands the wipers ON, ground is provided to the run/park relay coil through circuit 646 (YE/WH). When the run/park relay is energized, voltage is sent from the run/park relay to the high/low relay through circuit 28 (BK/PK). Voltage is passed through the high/low relay to the wiper motor. Ground for the wiper motor is provided through circuit 57 (BK).
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- An open in circuit 28 (BK/PK), 57 (BK), 646 (YE/WH) or 1671 (RD)
- A short to voltage in circuit 646 (YE/WH)
- Wiper high/low relay
- Wiper run/park relay
- Wiper motor
- Multi-function switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
