PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) TRANSCEIVER







Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Push the ignition lock cylinder release tab with a suitable tool while pulling out the ignition lock cylinder.
4. Remove the steering column cover and reinforcement.
5. Remove the tilt column handle.
6. Remove the 3 screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
7. Disconnect the PATS transceiver electrical connector.
8. Open the 2 clockspring wiring harness guides.
9. Remove the screw and the PATS transceiver.
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
