PINPOINT TEST H: THE COURTESY LAMPS DO NOT TURN ON WITH THE LIFTGATE OR THE LIFTGATE GLASS OPEN

Normal Operation
When the liftgate or the liftgate glass is opened, the ajar switch opens the circuit to the smart junction box (SJB). The SJB monitors the ajar circuits, and based on the ajar status, the SJB will supply voltage to the courtesy lamps on circuit VLN33 (GY/VT).

DTC B2721 - sets when the power liftgate module detects a short to ground from the SJB, or liftgate ajar circuit.

Possible Causes
- Circuit CPL58 (GY/OG) short to ground
- Circuit CPR50 (BN/BU) short to ground
- Ajar switch
- Liftgate ajar switch
- Liftgate glass ajar switch
- Power liftgate module
- SJB
