PINPOINT TEST V: THE ANTI-THEFT INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ONV1-V3:
Normal Operation
The instrument cluster controls the passive anti-theft system (PATS) with the powertrain control module (PCM) and receives the anti-theft key status from the hardwired PATS module. If there is a PATS concern, the instrument cluster anti-theft indicator either flashes rapidly or glows steadily (for more than 3 seconds) when the ignition switch is turned to the ON or START positions. The PATS also flashes the theft indicator every 2 seconds at ignition OFF to act as a visual theft deterrent. Refer to Antitheft and Alarm Systems.
