Test F: DTC C1830 - Air Suspension Compressor Relay Circuit Failure
Pinpoint Test F: DTC C1830 - Air Suspension Compressor Relay Circuit FailureRefer to Vehicle/Diagrams, Vehicle Dynamic Suspension for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation
The vehicle dynamics module (VDM) will command the air compressor ON or OFF when certain conditions are met. The VDM supplies voltage to the air suspension compressor relay through circuit CCLO1 (WH/VT), which engages the relay and supplies fused battery voltage along circuit CCLO8 (BU/BN) to the air compressor. The air compressor and the relay are both supplied a ground through circuit GD123 (BK/GY).
^ DTC C1830 Air Compressor Relay Circuit Failure - With the ignition in the RUN position and during a deflate (vent) or inflate (pump) activity, if the VDM detects an open, a short to voltage or a short to ground on the air compressor relay circuit, DTC C 1790 will be set.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
^ Wiring, terminals or connectors
^ Air compressor relay
^ VDM
