Test D: The Door Locks Operate Only One Way

PINPOINT TEST D: THE DOOR LOCKS OPERATE ONLY ONE WAY

Normal Operation
The vehicle security module (VSM) sends voltage signals to the door lock control switches through circuits 119 (PK/YE) and 120 (PK/LG) for the lock and unlock requests, respectively. When the lock or unlock switch is pressed, the voltage signal is routed to ground. Ground for the door lock control switches is provided through circuit 57 (BK).

- DTC B1309 (Power Door Lock Circuit Short to Ground) - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the door lock control switch circuit 119 (PK/YE).
- DTC B1341 (Power Door Unlock Circuit Short to Ground) - is an on-demand DTC that sets if the VSM detects a short to ground on the door lock control switch circuit 120 (PK/LG).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Door lock control switch
- VSM
