Power Steering Pump













Removal and Installation

NOTICE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may result.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.

3. Release the clamp and disconnect the supply hose.

4. Remove the pressure line bracket-to-engine nut.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

5. Remove the 2 power steering pump bolts and the 1 power steering pump stud bolt.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

6. Remove and discard the pressure line clamp plate-to-pump bolt.
- Disconnect the pressure line from the pump and remove the power steering pump and pulley assembly.

- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
