Removal and Installation

1. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to Wheels and Tires Removal and Replacement.

2. NOTICE: Do not allow the caliper assembly to hang from the brake hose or damage to the hose can occur.

NOTICE: Do not remove the guide pin stud bolt by twisting on the noise damper or damage to the damper may occur.

Remove the brake caliper guide pin bolt, the guide pin stud bolt and position the caliper assembly aside.

- Support the caliper assembly using mechanic's wire.

- To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

3. Remove the brake disc.

4. Clean any rust or foreign material from the brake disc and wheel hub.
- Use specified brake parts cleaner to clean the brake disc and hub surfaces.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
