NOTE: If the scan tool is unable to access the transmission PIDs, REFER to Computers and Control Systems.
NOTE: Read and record all DTCs.
-------------------------------------------------
F1 CHECK THE SOLENOID POWER CIRCUITS FOR VOLTAGE
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Transmission C1623.
- Inspect the connector for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals.
- Ignition ON.
- Measure the voltage from the transmission vehicle harness C1623-1 circuit CET25 (BU/GN) and C1623-2 circuit CET49 (BN) harness side to ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts on both circuits?
Yes
GO to F4.
No
GO to F2.
-------------------------------------------------
F2 CHECK THE SOLENOID POWER CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: TCM C1750.
- Inspect the connector for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and mission or damaged seals.
- Measure the resistance from the TCM C1750-2 to transmission vehicle harness C1623-1 circuit CET25 (BU/GN) and from TCM C1750-32 to transmission vehicle harness C1623-2 circuit CET49 (BN).
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms on both circuits?
Yes
GO to F3.
No
REPAIR transmission vehicle harness circuit which measured greater than 5 ohms. CLEAR the DTC's. TEST the system for normal operation. If DTC P0657 or DTC P2669 returns, REPLACE the PCM.
-------------------------------------------------
F3 CHECK THE SOLENOID POWER CIRCUITS FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Measure the resistance from the TCM C1750-2 circuit CET25 (BU/GN) and C1750-32 circuit CET49 (BN) to ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms on both circuits?
Yes
GO to F4.
No
REPAIR transmission vehicle harness circuit which measured less than 10,000 ohms. CLEAR the DTC's. TEST the system for normal operation. If DTC P0657 or DTC P2669 returns, REPLACE the PCM.
-------------------------------------------------
F4 CHECK THE SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: TCM C1750.
- Inspect the connector for damaged or pushed out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals.
