Removal and Installation

1. NOTE: Vehicles without navigation require Programmable Module Installation (PMI) when a new module is being installed. For vehicles with navigation, the Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) is not a stand-alone module.

For vehicles without navigation, upload the FDIM configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to PMI in Module Configuration Programmable Module Installation (PMI) configuration information to the scan tool.

2. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel. For additional information, refer to Instrument Panel and Console Instrument Panel Finish Panel.

3. NOTICE: For vehicles with navigation, make sure not to bend the FDIM video feed cable when removing the FDIM or the cable may be damaged.

Remove the 4 screws and the FDIM.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- For vehicles without navigation, download the configuration information to the FDIM. For additional information, refer to PMI in Module Configuration Testing and Inspection.
