Fan Blade: Service and Repair

Cooling Fan - 2.3L





1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering [1][2]Diagrams.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Accessory Drive [1][2]Diagrams.

3. Using the Strap Wrench to hold the fan pulley, loosen the cooling fan clutch nut.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).





4. Remove the fan and clutch assembly.

5. If necessary, remove the 4 fan-to-fan clutch bolts and separate the fan from the fan clutch.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
