Pinpoint Tests

Pinpoint Test B: No Power in ACC

Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 13, Power Distribution for schematic and connector information. Diagrams By Number

Normal Operation

When the ignition switch is placed in the ACC position, fused ignition voltage is sent to the Central Junction Box (CJB) fuse 137 (7.5A).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Ignition switch

PINPOINT TEST B: NO POWER IN ACC

NOTICE: Use the Flex Probe Kit for all test connections to prevent damage to the wiring terminals. Do not use standard multi-meter probes.

-------------------------------------------------
B1 CHECK THE ACC CIRCUIT VOLTAGE

- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: CJB Fuse 137 (7.5A).
- Ignition In ACC.
- Measure the voltage at CJB fuse 137 (7.5A), circuit 75-DA1 (YE), input side and ground.

- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

Yes
VERIFY CJB Fuse 137 (7.5A). If OK, REPAIR circuit 75-DA1 (YE), output side, for an open. If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short to ground. TEST the system for normal operation. Diagrams By Number

No
GO to B2.

-------------------------------------------------
B2 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH

- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250.
- Carry out the Ignition Switch Component Test.
Refer to Ignition Switch for component testing.

- Is the ignition switch OK?

Yes
INSPECT connector for corrosion, pushed-out pins or spread terminals. REPAIR if necessary. If connector is OK, REPAIR circuit 75-DA1 (YE), input side, for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to Ignition Switch Ignition Switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
