Transmission Fluid Pan

















Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. Remove the transmission fluid pan drain plug and allow the transmission fluid to drain.





3. Install the transmission fluid pan drain plug.
- Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).






4. NOTE: The transmission fluid pan gasket is a reusable gasket. Do not discard the transmission fluid pan gasket.
Remove and 19 bolts and remove the transmission fluid pan and gasket.






Installation

1. NOTE: The transmission fluid pan gasket is a reusable gasket.
Clean the transmission pan and gasket. Inspect the transmission fluid pan gasket for damage and install a new transmission fluid pan gasket if necessary. Make sure the magnet is clean and free of debris.

2. Install the transmission fluid pan gasket, transmission fluid pan and install the 19 bolts. Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).






3. Fill the transmission with clean transmission fluid. For additional information, refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill.
