Pinpoint Test B: All Power Windows are Inoperative

Normal Operation

Under normal operation, power is supplied to the LH and RH front window control switches from the accessory delay relay. For Crew Cab, the LH front window control switch supplies power and ground for all rear window motor operation.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Fuse

- Accessory delay relay

- Wiring, terminals or connectors

- Window control switch

PINPOINT TEST B : ALL POWER WINDOWS ARE INOPERATIVE

NOTICE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.

B1 CHECK VOLTAGE TO LH FRONT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH

- Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C566B (Crew Cab) or C537 (regular and SuperCab).

- Ignition ON.

- Measure the voltage between LH front window control switch and ground.
- For regular and SuperCab, measure the voltage between LH front window control switch C537-3, circuit CBP32 (GN/VT), harness side and ground.

- For Crew Cab, measure the voltage between LH front window control switch C566B-3, circuit CBP01 (BU), harness side and ground.

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

Yes
INSTALL a new LH front window control switch. REFER to Window Control Switch . TEST the system for normal operation.

No
VERIFY BCM (Body Control Module) fuse 32 (15A) (regular and SuperCab) or circuit breaker 48 (30A) (Crew Cab) is OK. If OK, GO to Pinpoint Test F to diagnose the accessory delay circuit. Pinpoint Test F: The Delayed Accessory is Inoperative

If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams to identify the possible causes of the circuit short. TEST the system for normal operation. [1][2]Diagrams By Number
