Backrest










Cushion

NOTE: The backrest must be removed before the cushion retainers can be accessed.









Removal and Installation

NOTE: New retaining bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. Studs and nuts can be reused.

Backrest and cushion

1. Using an appropriate tool, push in the pin hole while pulling the safety belt tongue out of the safety belt buckle.
- When inserting the safety belt tongue into the safety belt buckle, make sure the safety belt buckle webbing is not twisted.






2. NOTE: Backrest trim cover and foam pad removed for clarity.
Release the 3 backrest upper spring clips.

1. Feel through the backrest trim cover and foam pad for the backrest frame opening.

2. At the backrest frame opening, slide an appropriate tool down between the cab rear sheet metal and backrest frame. Position the tool on top of the spring clip.

3. Push the spring clip down to release it while pulling out on the backrest at the top to disengage it.






3. Lift the backrest up and out of the lower hangers.
- Remove the backrest.

- After installation, make sure the child safety seat tether anchor strap is accessible and not trapped between the seat backrest and cab back panel.


Cushion

4. Position the seat cushions up.

5. Remove the subwoofer speaker (if equipped).

6. NOTE: Make sure the safety belt and buckle anchors are in place, on top of the rear center support, before installing the rear support-to-floor bolt.
Remove and discard the support-to-floor bolts and remove the nuts.

- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).


Backrest and cushion

7. NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
