DR5 - Check Continuity to PCM

- Key Off.

- CMP sensor vehicle harness connector disconnected.

- Disconnect PCM. Inspect for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary.

- Install breakout box, leave PCM disconnected.

- Measure resistance between CID circuit at the CMP vehicle harness connector and Test Pin 85 (CID) at the breakout box.

- Are resistance measurements less than 5.0 ohms?

YES -- Go to DR6. DR6 - Check CID For Short to Power

NO -- SERVICE open circuit. REMOVE breakout box. RECONNECT all components. Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes
