- Drive the vehicle long enough to obtain the highest engine operating temperature and record the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) PID.

- Was the ECT PID reading greater than 180°F/82°C?

YES -- Additional driving is required. PERFORM the OBD II Drive Cycle. Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles and Readiness Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- REPLACE the cooling system thermostat. PERFORM the OBD II Drive Cycle. Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles and Readiness Codes
